Welcome to InVision Healing Arts

Cranial – all the bones of the skull
Sacral – the flat bone at the base of the spine
Therapy – a clear intention to help you feel better

Perhaps you are frustrated because you’ve gone to many
therapists and you still have the same health concerns.
You’ve had chronic pain for years…back, head, neck
Your blood pressure is too high.
You had braces as a youth and now as an adult,
you grind your teeth.
You know you should give up eating sugar/smoking/yelling at your child, but you can’t seem to stop.
You’ve lost your sense of purpose in life.
Your sense of deep contentment and joy has been gone way too long and you would love to have it back

Does any of this sound like you?

Craniosacral therapy can be a way in.
A way to heal with soft touch.
To see what is not seen with the eyes.
And to hear what is not heard with the ears.

“What the Navajo call ‘the wind’s child’, Genesis calls ‘the breath of life.’ It is a silent force, a field of chi, which blows through the craniosacral system, animates it, and infuses it with information and intelligence.
It is possible to listen to this field. The ability to do this is called
‘The heart of listening’.”

CRANIOSACRAL THERAPY – The practice

After a brief intake with Charlotte, you will lie on your back on the massage table, fully clothed. Charlotte will begin with 5-7 minutes of meditation, a prayer for safety and intention to heal, and the sessions will begin, lasting about 75-80 minutes, leaving you with time at the end for questions and slow movement off the table. A sense of having been in a somewhat altered state is not uncommon, usually a very pleasant experience.

Using Craniosacral techniques, Charlotte can balance the rhythm of the cerebral-spinal pulse thereby relieving numerous ailments. Charlotte also follows the inherent movement of the all the bones of the head, face and spine and provide guidance so that they are once again in correct relationship with one another. These are adjustments of a most exquisitely minute nature, often with profound results.

“I believe CS therapy to be effective and efficient because it encompasses who you are, and who you are becoming, through the doorway of what has happened to you, emotionally, physically and spiritually.” Charlotte House

A Word About Stillpoints

Still points are to the cranial wave as sighs are to the breath; they allow a return to natural rhythm after a period of overload, or trauma. With the client lying face up, the CST Practitioner gently cradles the base of the skull over her cupped hands, allowing the base of the skull to rest and slightly compress, bringing relief to internal brain structures and tissues, which subsequently pauses the natural CS rhythm. The client often falls into a light sleep and awakes with more mental clarity and focus.

"Slow wave (i.e., theta) deficiency in the occipital region (base of the skull) is associated with poor stress tolerance, sleep disturbance, racing thoughts, generalized anxiety, and vulnerability to substance addiction," said Dr. Swingle, now a clinical psychoneurophysiologist in Vancouver and a highly respected biofeedback practitioner. "Neurotherapy that focuses on restoring this deficit is strongly enhanced with Still-Point induction.”

TESTIMONIALS

My craniosacral therapy session was incredibly relaxing and I didn’t want it to end.

“Charlotte has the unique ability to see the past and find it stored in my body. It’s like my body knew the truth but it just needed a nudge. The truth was the healing I needed. I’m so happy I gave this weird stuff a try.
